建築という行為は広く深く社会的であり、特に近年は、国内外の政治・経済・思想や環境政策にも大きく影響を受けています。そこでは建築設計者と様々な分野の人々が協業し課題解決に取り組めるフィールドが生まれています。私自身これまで、自然エネルギーの有効利用と地域社会への情報発信、技術開発による木材利用の促進と森林保護、といった社会性の高いプロジェクトに取り組み、そこで異分野との協業を実践してきました。常に変わりゆく建築・都市とそれらを生み出す背景である最新の社会動向や社会的要請との関係について考察し、併せて建築設計の幅広いフィールドでの異分野との協業の在り方についても模索していきたいと考えています。
