様々な韓国語学習者の中でも、特に多文化家庭の小学生学習者（韓国では主に結婚して韓国にきた方の子ども）を対象にする指導法など、バイリンガルの子どもの言語について関心を持っています。
また、日本など海外の韓国語学習者の中で、初級レベルの学習者の韓国語に対するニーズや認識などについても興味を持ち、調査研究を続けてきました。
