My research interests are in the history of economics in general and in the development of the science in Britain from the 18th to the 19th century, in particular. It was in this period that economics as a science emerged and became accepted (albeit with more or less of a transformation) in such an extent that the British academe established professorships for it and that British politics drew inspiration from it for overall liberalisation. I am engaged in specific research projects to understand the bilateral process between economics and society at large (such as "Political Economy in Early Nineteenth Century Cambridge: its Reverberation, Dissemination, and Transformation").
