Teaching and Research Fields
The health and well-being of a population is intrinsically connected to the health of its environment and our planet. With this understanding and my background in environmental science, health promotion, and eco-theology, my professional interests and experiences span academic, theological and community-based research and education, including projects with government and non-government organizations. My research interests began in environmental health promotion and sustainability, then social determinants of health, community health, planning and policy research. For the last decade, I have focused on healing and reconciliation between Indigenous peoples and settlers in Canada as well as climate justice, in partnership with Christian and ecumenical, interfaith, and secular community leaders.
