Teaching and Research Fields
My research so far has been focused on religion in a global context, especially how Third Culture Kids can develop their identity through Christian contextualized belief. I am interested in how contexts shape religious beliefs as well as how religious beliefs can transform contexts. Of special importance is the role of religion in times of nationalism. It is vital to precisely understand why believers feel attracted to certain religious groups, and how religion functions politically within society. The objective of my research is to find a contextualized Christian theology that addresses the wants and needs of people in the 21st century.
