• Publication: Utilizing Information Design in Curriculum Development. (2021). Journal of Policy Studies, 63.
  
  Abstract: Pedagogical considerations are often the main focus of curriculum development, often leaving layout and design considerations of the physical and digital materials as ·an after-thought. From the viewpoint of Information Design, a subset of Graphic Design, it is ap-parent that content alone is not enough to ensure the transmission of information from the sender (the instructor) to the receiver (the students). By considering design principles and processes in tandem with sound educational content when creating materials for the class-room, instructors can ensure that the content they wish the students to receive, is presented in a way that facilitates learning. This article goes over a simple design process, using Information Design principles, that instructors can consider when developing curriculum and classroom materials.
