現代日本における性的マイノリティに関する諸カテゴリーの形成過程と、それらが人びとの自己知にもたらす作用に関心があります。主にXジェンダーやトランスジェンダーなど、ジェンダー・アイデンティティや性表現に関する様々なカテゴリーが人びとに可能にしてきた実践を、フィールドワークやインタビュー調査、資料調査から探っています。

加えて、Xジェンダー／ノンバイナリーの人びとが親やパートナーとの相互行為において直面する困難や、メディアにおけるトランスジェンダー／ノンバイナリーをめぐる表象、アーカイブ形成に関しても検討してきました。

    Description:ほかならぬ、この「私の身体」とは何か。ジュディス・バトラーの哲学研究から出発した著者は、身体を語る際の旧来の理論的図式「病理学的図式」「デカルト的図式」「構築主義的図式」という、心身二元論から発する「神話」を解体し、オルタナティヴな理論的枠組みを志向する一連の論文をこれまで発表してきた。その探究を総合し、書き下ろし原稿と共に一冊の書物としてまとめた『ノット・ライク・ディス』は、トランスジェンダーの身体経験の探究を通じて、従来の身体論／身体観を問い直すヒントに満ちている。Xジェンダーやノンバイナリー、トランスジェンダーの人々の実践のあり方をつぶさに研究してきた武内今日子氏をゲストに招き、改めて「身体」とは何か、『ノット・ライク・ディス』の問いの射程が持つ現代性・今日性について、著者とともに語る刊行記念イベント。
