Although my background is in educational technology with an emphasis on incorporating multimedia and curricula design, most of my recent research interest involves learner autonomy and the difference in perceptions of autonomy between students and teachers in relation to language learning. I'm interested in how students perceive their ability to be autonomous in their learning and how that affects motivation. Similarly, I'm currently focusing on assessment practices in second language contexts.
