産業構造、企業の戦略的行動が輸出・輸入量、価格などに与える影響、また戦略的貿易政策として、政府の役割について考察することは貿易摩擦など現実の様々な現象に対する政策を考える上で重要となる。複占、寡占など不完全競争をベースとして、輸出自主規制、ダンピング問題、アンチダンピング関税問題、内外価格差問題等々の諸問題に対して理論的アプローチを試みることによってその理論的根拠を提示する。
