私の専門は金融論です。特に、銀行などの金融機関が果たす役割について分析することを研究テーマとしています。銀行などの金融機関は、資金を保有している投資家と資金を必要としている企業等との間で資金の橋渡しをする重要な役割を果たしています。しかし、1990年代の日本の銀行危機や近年の世界金融危機では、この金融仲介機能が損なわれ、経済に大きなダメージを与えたと言われています。そこで現在は、金融機関や借り手である企業の実際のデータを用いて、金融危機が金融機関や経済に及ぼす影響を分析する研究に取り組んでいます。また、株式市場や債券市場など資本市場の役割についても関心を持っています。
経済学部では、銀行などの金融機関が果たす役割について学ぶ「金融機関論」や、株式市場や債券市場について学ぶ「資本市場論」などの科目を担当しています。
