Teaching and Research Fields
研究テーマ：労働社会学、経済社会学。とくに、韓国の労働社会の変容を、労働市場構造の分析を日本と比較を通して行ってきました。また、1960年代後半以降の、「漢江の奇跡」と呼ばれる韓国の経済発展の過程を、それをずっと低賃金労働で支えてきた労働者や都市下層に暮らす人々の視点から歴史的に把え直そうと研究しています。
　ことに、1990年代後半以降、日本では「失われた20年」の中で、韓国では「アジア経済危機」を契機に、両国で共通して、労働の規制緩和とともに若者や女性を中心に急速に労働の非正規化が進んでいます。非正規労働者の増大とともに社会的格差も拡大し、そのしわ寄せをもっとも受けているのが若者と女性なのです。そこで、現在は、日本と韓国の若者の就労問題や女性の貧困問題について関心を持っています。なかんずく、労働市場の底辺にいる、若年非正規労働者や女性非正規労働者がどのように自らを組織し、日韓両国の既存の企業別労働組合とは異なる新しい労働組合モデルを創り出そうとしているかに注目しています。こうした新しい社会の動きを、主にインタヴューや設問調査等のフィールド調査を通じて明らかにしようとするのが私の研究の特徴です。
