地方自治体と大学を中心とした公共部門のマネジメントとガバナンスを研究対象としています。専門分野は会計学、監査論、公会計論、公共経営論など。近年の関心分野は公共サービスのイノベーション、地方自治体における財務会計制度と管理会計システムの改革、財務管理システムの構築、そして、英国のNHS(国民健康サービス)制度など。理論と制度と実務を研究対象として、わが国における公共部門の変革をサポートできるような研究成果の実現を目的としています。
