研究分野は会社法である。特に、結合企業法およびコーポレートガバナンスを主たるテーマとして研究している。前者については、ドイツおよびEUの結合企業法との比較を中心として、その静的規制（結合企業における利害関係人の保護）および動的規制（結合企業形成前の利害関係人の保護）のあり方を検討課題としている。後者についても、やはりドイツ法やEU法との比較検討を通じて、取締役の報酬規制や監査役制度の問題点など、幅広く研究している。
