Profile
従来の言語教育は、モデルとなる言語の効率よい習得をめざしてきたが、実際の言語使用を考えた場合、どこでも誰にでも通用するような唯一の正しい言語モデルはありえない。こうした前提に立つなら、言語教育は何を目標にすべきだろうか。この問いに答えるために、言語を使おうとする意欲と思想、それらを育む言語教育を研究テーマとしている。これまで、過去の日本語教育学の批判的分析、言語表現教育の実践研究、欧州等の言語政策理念の再検討などを行ってきた。最近では、秋田県のグリーン・ツーリズム運営農家のもつ異質性対応方略と思想の研究に取り組んでいる。
総合政策学部で担当する「言語政策論」「日本語文化論」では、受講生に新たな言語観・言語教育観を見つけてもらい、教育行政など将来各自の現場で活かしてほしいと考えている。
