子どもをとりまく現場の教員や職員が、増加するケースに疲弊し、保護者も困難の中にある。学校教育を中心に業績で子どもが承認されるしくみが強くなる中、雇用の劣化にともない若者も苦難を強いられている。いじめ・貧困など厳しい環境に置かれている子ども・若者を起点に、歴史・社会的な構造分析を行っている。自分自身が、業績ではなく存在自体を承認できる関係構築のため必要な社会的課題について考察している。子どもが暮らす現場の関係性を存在承認で読み直し、働き方や社会思想とつなげて研究を行っている。
