Research Outline
幼児期は，様々な資質や能力が発達していく重要な時期です．その中で，幼児期における運動能力の発達について研究を進めています．現在は，SSC運動の遂行能力の発達過程およびその要因の解明を中心的なテーマとして取り組んでいます．SSC運動とは，重力環境下において人間が活動する際に利用される筋の「ばね」のような運動のことです．この種の運動は，様々な運動の中に内在しており，これによって人間は大きな力を発揮したり，運動をスムーズに切り換えたりすることができます．SSC運動の遂行能力が幼児期からどのような発達様相を見せ，何が発達の要因になるのかを明らかにすることで，将来に向けて運動能力の向上を促進させていくことや幼児期における運動遊び等の活動に関するより良い指導・援助の方策を考案することにも繋がります．これらを通して，子どもが楽しみながら豊かな経験を経て，子どもの可能性を大きく広げられるような環境構築に貢献したいと考えています．
