Profile
機械学習や強化学習を含む人工知能の分野では、より優秀なデザインを判断する手法や、より有益な広告を判断する手法、より勝てる選択肢を選ぶゲームAIなどのコンピュータの解法を考案してきましたが、それを用いるためには膨大なITリソースが必要でした。そこで、現在のコンピュータのシステムでは未だ実現できないような「一を聞いて十を知る」といった人間の能力をコンピュータの解法として用いた場合、どのような効果が表れるのかを研究するために、認知心理学の分野でかなり蓄積されてきた人間特有の認知の傾向の研究成果に着目しました。現在は人工知能の基礎的な課題を用いた研究ですが、コンピュータの解法として人間の認知の傾向を実装した確率モデルの実用によって、従来の計算方法と比較して短時間で答えを発見できたり、少ないITリソースで計算できたりといった効率化に貢献できるのではないかと期待しています。
