これまでハイデガーおよび現象学的・解釈学的な哲学者を中心に研究し、当事者的経験に定位する存在論の構造と歴史を考察してきた。その一つの成果は、『出来事と自己変容：ハイデガー哲学の構造と生成における自己性の問題』として公にした。また、これと並行して、カントやヘーゲルなどの近代ドイツ哲学と近代日本の京都学派のテキストにも取り組み、存在と人間の関係、経験世界の構造、そして人間の複数性の問題について研究を進めている。
