Profile
情報通信技術の進歩により，世の中におけるインターネットの依存度やソーシャルネットワークの重要性は急速に増しています．現代社会の多くのシステム(決済や物流システムなど)はインターネットに繋がることを前提に構築されており，インターネットの停止は社会の大混乱をまねきます．そのため，災害や人災が発生した時にもインターネットが継続して働きつづけられる技術の開発は必要不可欠となります．また，ソーシャルメディア(Twitter や Instagram，LINE など) の普及により，個人が情報発信するコストは格段に下がりました．このことにより，個人同士でのコミュニケーションが活性化され，コミュニケーションが新たなコミュニケーションを生むというコミュニケーションの連鎖が社会全体に多大な影響を及ぼしています．例えば，ある個人の発した情報の拡散が新たな流行を生み出すことが日常的に起きています．そのため，ソーシャルネットワークでのコミュニケーション連鎖の特性(広がる速度など)を明らかにすることは，効果的なマーケティング戦略を検討する上での重要となるでしょう．

インターネットやソーシャルネットワークは大規模・複雑ネットワークの代表例です．私は，大規模・複雑ネットワークを数理的に解析することで，その普遍的特性を解明し，インターネットの安定運用技術の構築やソーシャルネットワークへの工学的応用を実現するための研究を行っています．
