My ELT teaching background is in exam preparation, academic English and business English. My research interests are in World Englishes, particularly English as a Lingua Franca, and the politics of English use in the context of a more 'globalised' world. I am also interested in the role and skills of teachers in ELT; and in contemporary International Relations, particularly in Diplomacy in the 'post-Westphalian' international society.
