Title:液体水素冷却高温超電導発電機の開発
Project summary:2050年のカーボンニュートラル実現に向けて、液体水素冷却高温超電導発電機の技術開発を行う。液体水素で超電導界磁コイルを冷却し、蒸発した低温ガスで常電導電機子を冷却した後に水素ガスタービンに送って発電するシステムを構築することで、液体水素の冷熱を余すことなく活用したゼロエミッションな発電システムを実現し、水素社会構築に貢献する。

Title:次世代超電導マグネット向け高温超電導大電流集合導体の開発
Project summary:カーボンニュートラルに向けてCO2排出量の約4割を占める電力部門の削減は必須である。短期的には、グリーンな液体水素の冷熱を用いて高効率な超電導発電機を冷却し、蒸発した水素ガスをタービンに送って発電する水素ガスターン超電導発電機を実用化して、低効率な火力発電を置き換えることでCO2排出量を減らす。長期的には、究極のカーボンフリー発電である小型核融合炉によりカーボンニュートラルを達成する。このような次世代超電導マグネット機器には高温超電導線材を用いた数kA級の大電流集合導体が不可欠だが、国内で開発・製造を行っているメーカーはなく、機器の実用化開発の進捗の妨げになっている。このため、次世代超電導マグネット機器に不可欠な高温超電導大電流集合導体の設計・製造技術を開発し、国内の機器メーカーに供給可能なことを検証する。

Title:液体水素の冷熱を活用した水素ガスタービン高温超電導発電機の基礎開発
Project summary: 柔軟かつグリーンなエネルギー源として開発が進められている水素ガスタービンと液体水素の冷熱を有効活用した電力損失の少ない高温超電導発電機を融合してシナジー効果により経済性を高め(効率0.5%増、年間省エネ2.2億円/基)、カーボンニュートラルに貢献する。発電機の超電導化により電力系統運用の柔軟性を高めて再生エネルギーの大量導入に寄与する。
目的:600MW級発電機の界磁コイルを高温超電導化するために必要な6kA級集合導体の導体化技術とコイル化技術を開発する。さらに、液体水素冷却高温超電導発電機システムの成立性を実証する。
目標:6kA級高温超電導集合導体の液体水素中での通電性能の検証、界磁モデルコイルの試作、20kW級液体水素冷却高温超電導発電機の動作検証
