Profile
SPring-8からの放射光を用いて、磁性材料の機能発現メカニズムを研究しています。X線磁気円二色性 (XMCD) 分光を主な測定手法として、白金(Pt)や金(Au)といった大きなスピン軌道相互作用をもつ貴金属元素の磁性研究に取り組んでおり、薄膜やナノ粒子といったナノ構造において発現する特異な磁性を探求しています。近年の研究テーマは、電界磁気異方性効果などスピントロニクス現象の発現機構の解明です。X線磁気トモグラフィーという新しい顕微磁気観察法を開発しており、これによって磁性体内部の磁区構造の３次元的を可能となります。また、X線自由電子レーザー施設SACLAを使って、1ピコ秒以内に起こる超高速磁気現象のX線解析に取り組んでいます。
