Teaching and Research Fields
東京外国語大学フランス語学科卒業、モントリオール大学留学、東京外国語大学大学院修士課程、博士後期課程修了。博士(学術）。外務省専門調査員(在カナダ日本国大使館勤務、政務担当)、オタワ大学言語学科客員研究員、東京外国語大学・神田外語大学・青山学院大学・関西学院大学非常勤講師などを経て、2008年より神田外語大学英米語学科専任。2016年度、ケベック大学モントリオール校、トロント大学客員研究員。2023年、関西学院大学に移籍。
カナダ研究のなかでも、言語政策、多文化主義、ケベック事情を中心に教えています。研究面では、カナダの公用語政策、ケベック州のフランス語化政策、カナダ英語について研究しています。また、社会言語学の分野では、「世界の英語モジュール」という無料ウェブ教材（http://www.coelang.tufs.ac.jp/mt/en/）を開発し、12の英語変種の特徴を分析しています。
