Teaching and Research Fields
主に中国語音韻論（中古音）と北部呉語（上海語を代表とする中国語の一方言）について研究している。前者については主に切韻系韻書、『玉篇』、『経典釈文』、『博雅音』などの中古音資料における音注を対象に、考察を進めている。この他、域外対音資料の日本語漢字音（主に呉音と漢音）およびパスパ文字対音資料の『蒙古字韻』をも対象にしている。具体的には主に「重紐（じゅうちゅう）」という中国語音韻史上のなおも未解明な部分が残る問題をテーマとしている。今後は五代の後晋に成立した『新集蔵経音義随函録』（釈可洪著）における引用文献とその音注について研究する予定である。
また、後者の北部呉語については、主に江蘇省南通市通州地域の音韻史について研究している。今まで、合わせて4回のフィールド調査に参加し、データを収集すると同時に、清代の孫錦標が著した『南通方言疏証』という方言史資料の分析を行っている。そしてフィールドデータと歴史文献データを綜合するかたちで当該地域の方言史研究を進める予定である。
