My research background so far has focused on teaching listening skills and course evaluation. I am also interested in the use of technology in the language classroom and how it can be used to improve language instruction. However, my most recent research was into the role of self-assessment in language learning to foster learner autonomy. I am also interested in learner motivation and how different classroom practices and activities can improve motivation. I am currently focusing on how more interactive types of feedback can help learners improve their language learning.
