Teaching and Research Fields
1960年代に「手話が言語である」と証明されて以来、手話言語学研究が進められ、人間の言語の普遍的側面が手話言語にも当てはまることが確認され、また、視覚言語ならではの特性も明らかになりつつあります。
しかしながら、音声言語と比べてみると、まだまだ言語学研究の歴史は浅く、また海外の手話言語研究と比べてみても、日本手話に関しては解明されていない分野がまだまだあると言えます。
なかでも、日本手話のプロソディや、日本手話を第二言語として習得する学習者の日本手話習得プロセスについて、これまでの研究で分かっていることはまだ十分とは言えません。
研究では日本手話のプロソディはどのような要素から成り立っているのかを解明し、手話学習者に学習のヒントをお伝えすることができればと思っています。同時に本学の日本手話履修生の日本手話習得プロセスを観察しながら、手話言語の第二言語習得プロセスを整理していきたいと思っています。
