My research interests are focused on the history of education and educational policy in the territories of the Spanish Empire, mainly in the Philippine Islands and the establishment of its first compulsory education system during its Spanish period. I also research the history of journalism in the Philippines in the 19th century. In my activity as a Spanish language teacher, I study new tendencies and methodology in order to enhance teaching effectiveness according to students’ needs.
