光応答性有機無機ハイブリッド材料の開発.
光を当てることで色が可逆的に変わる現象をフォトクロミズムといいます. フォロクロミズムでは光照射による分子構造の変化を伴うため, 色だけではなく, 分子の大きさや極性も変化します. 一方で, 洗剤や化粧品にも使われている粘土は, ミクロなスケールでは, 陰イオンが無機物の層に挟まれているサンドイッチのような構造をしていいます. このサンドイッチの具(陰イオン)をフォトクロミック化合物に入れ替えることで, これまでになかった光によって変化する物質(光応答性物質)の作成が期待できます. サンドイッチ構造のパン(無機物層)と具(フォトクロミック分子)の両方をデザインして, 合成し, さらにハイブリッド化することで, 新しい光応答性物質の創出を目指します.
