国際協力機構（JICA）において、20年超、国際協力事業に従事。その範囲は、中南米の保健医療協力プロジェクトの実施管理、各国の開発協力方針の策定（ベトナム、インドネシア）、国を超える地域（クロスボーダー）に着目した開発可能性の研究、事業評価等に及ぶ。
民間金融機関勤務時には、開発途上国を含む海外の資産運営、売却処理に従事し、民間視点で開発途上国の経済開発を考える視座を得た。
開発途上国の開発を考える原体験は、学生時代に大学主催のワークキャンプに参加し、タイ・カレン族の村でホームステイし、教会の建設に従事したことにある。
複合的危機とも称される現在の世界で、学生の皆さんがグローバル人材として成長することを、自らの知見に固執することなく、共に考えることで貢献したい。
