リアルタイム分析の手法として、ラマン分光法を用いています。ラマン分光法は光と分子の相互作用のうち、ラマン散乱と呼ばれる物理現象を利用して試料の分析を行う手法です。ラマン分光法は医学・生物学において、特別な試料調製を必要とせず、低侵襲的な計測が可能な技術として注目を集めています。生体(培養細胞や組織)をラマン分光法で測定すると、脂質、タンパク質、核酸などに代表される、無数の生体分子に由来するラマンスペクトルが足しあわされた信号が得られます。さらに、時系列変化の解析やバイオイメージングをするためには、測定環境の時間と空間の条件もあわせて、多変量からなる測定データを扱う必要があります。このような複雑なデータから、興味のある情報を取り出すための解析手法を計量化学と呼びます。
ラマン分光法と計量化学を用いて、 実用的な(ロバストな)分析モデルを構築することが、私の研究のメインテーマです。
