ミクロな世界における粒子のダイナミクスは、場の量子論によって記述されます。特に、粒子間の相互作用が強い系は「強相関系」と呼ばれ、非摂動的な量子現象の発現が期待されます。しかし、強相関系を場の量子論で解析することは極めて難しく、多くの未解決問題が残されています。
私は、強相関系のダイナミクスを理解するために、「くりこみ群」と呼ばれる手法を用いた研究を行ってきました。特に、物質の超伝導現象の解明や、量子重力理論の非摂動的構築に向けた研究に取り組んでいます。
