My research field is Japanese language education. During my graduate studies, I developed an interest in the experiences of Japanese language teachers working in language schools. Using narrative research, I examined the challenges and insights they encountered. Subsequently, my research expanded to focus on learner autonomy, and I conducted studies on learning record activities. I have also been involved in the practice of extensive reading and the development of kanji learning materials. More recently, I have been conducting practical research on how evaluation sheets can foster learners' autonomous academic writing skills, as well as on international collaborative learning. My goal is to effectively support Japanese language learners, helping them progress with confidence and autonomy, and to explore ways to build communities among Japanese language teachers and promote teacher autonomy.
