私は、有権者の投票⾏動について研究しています。具体的には、なぜ有権者は棄権するのか、なぜ
有権者は⽩票等の無効票を投じるのか、といった問いの解明を⽬指しています。これらの⾏動に
は、有権者に提⽰される「候補者や政党等の選択肢の数」、有権者が投じる「⼀票の価値」、有権
者が投票時に直⾯する「環境」等が影響していると考えています。国や⾃治体が公開している投開
票データや、有権者への意識調査データを分析し、これらの仮説を検証することで、投票⾏動のメ
カニズムの解明に取り組んでいます。
