メディア産業の形成とその変容、およびそこで働く人々のキャリアや労働のあり方を、フランスの社会学理論を活用しながら、統計的分析と歴史的分析の両面から研究してきました。
あわせて、インターネット普及以降のデジタル・プラットフォームの台頭による、既存メディアと新興メディアの関わりや、ニュース生産・発信構造の変化、ジャーナリズムの実践の変容にも注目し研究しています。
