専門は会計学の中でも財務会計と呼ばれる領域です。企業が開示する会計情報をめぐる人々の意思決定や人間心理について、実験手法を用いて得られたデータに基づき分析しています。企業経営者は、出資者である株主に対して投資の価値を維持し、それに見合うリターンを確保する責任を負っています。この責任を果たすことを会計の目的の一つと捉え、経営者の規律付けや不正に関する研究を行ってきました。さらに、AIをはじめとするテクノロジーの進展が、経営者の経営責任に及ぼす影響についても関心を持っています。
