Profile
1. The first main research topic is "Trade and the Environment." In particular, I have been focusing on (i) both theoretical and empirical analyses of ethical trade and the impact of trade-restrictive regulations, and (ii) the impact of institutions relating to due diligence on trade flows.

2. I have been investigating the behavior of villagers regarding the voluntary management of common-pool resources. For example, I have been focusing on the factors that determines success and failure of the management of village common forests in developing countries using the social and laboratory experiments and questionnaire survey.
