センシングによる環境メディアとコンテンツ創生デザインをテーマとして研究を進めています。すなわち、人工物や自然・環境と、人とのインタラクションを、さまざまなセンサーを使って捉え、それをWeb上の情報や人間が持つ知識を利用して解釈してわかりやすく言葉で表現し、また、見えるように・感じられるように表現する環境メディアのデザイン研究を進めています。さらに表現を利用して、「お気に入りのものにコンテンツを創らせる」あるいは「お気に入りのモノと一緒にコンテンツを創る」といった人とモノが織りなす新たなインタラクションの枠組みを提案し、コンテンツ創生デザインの研究に取り組んでいます。この研究は、人とモノ・環境との関係を大きく変え、新たなライフスタイルを生み出すと考えています。
