主な研究分野は、競技経験や個々の技量如何によらず誰もが簡単に取り組むことが可能なFootball Modified Activities(Touch/Flag Football）を中心に行なっています。また併せて学部体育関連授業では、既出の体育科教育に固執し過ぎないより柔軟な授業指導方法の構築を目指し、一例として主に米国における授業実践例を活用しながら進めています。特に研究演習授業では毎年米国研修を実施し、現地小学校児童らに様々な日本の遊び指導実践を主目的とした国際交流活動を続けています。
