Teaching and Research Fields
My research has focused on English language program management and evaluation, including longitudinal quantitative studies of program effectiveness. More recently, my interests have expanded to English-Medium Instruction (EMI) in Japanese higher education, with an emphasis on researching content-based materials design and effective teaching methodologies in intercultural communication and global Englishes, as well as investigating AI-supported approaches to enhance students’ academic growth. I am also engaged in developing project-based EMI seminars that guide students in conducting original research and implementing domestic and overseas fieldwork programs as contexts for student-focused experiential learning.
