Profile
主に社会調査や内容分析の手法を用いて、有権者の政治参加・投票行動とそれに対するメディアの影響についての分析を行っています。なお、政治を対象とした研究を行っていますが、学問上のバックグラウンドは政治学ではなく社会心理学であり、有権者の政治参加を周囲の他者やメディアの影響を受けながら意思決定を行うプロセスとして捉えています。現在とくに関心を持っている研究テーマとしては、有権者が非政治的な活動の副産物として政治情報を獲得し政治に参加するという行動、およびニュースの娯楽化・多チャンネル化・インターネットの普及といったメディア環境の変化が有権者にもたらす影響の二つを挙げることができます。またそれとは別に若年層の政治参加を促進する方法についても関心を持っています。
