Profile
私の研究テーマは、代議制民主主義や政治代表の実態を明らかにすることです。有権者の民意が、政党の政策や政府の政策選択に反映されているのかをデータ分析を通じて検証することを目指してきました。分析の対象としては、日本政治に限らず、先進民主主義国間の多国間比較にも取り組んでいます。また派生して、資源の分配や対外政策決定過程に世論が与える影響についても関心を持っています。
　こうした研究方法・関心を背景に、総合政策学部においては、政治学全般の概論やデータ分析の基礎的手法を身につけるための講義を担当しています。また演習形式の授業においては、日本をはじめとして、各国の選挙を分析するための能力を養うことを目指しています。
