個人の態度と行動が乖離しやすい環境問題において、環境に配慮した行動を実際に率先してとっていく少数の人々（環境ボランティア、住民団体など）が、その行動パターンを徐々に周囲の大多数者に普及させていく過程を、実験と調査の両面から社会心理学的に検討する。また、集団に対して個人が同一化していく過程、それにもとづく集団行動の発生と変化について、シミュレーション・ゲーミングを用いた実験的検討をおこなっている。
