教育研究内容
My research interests revolve around learner motivation, neuroeducation, and autonomous learning. Fueled by motivational research from Maslow’s “Hierarchy of Needs” and Dornyei’s motivation in second language learning. I am curious to understand students intrinsic and extrinsic motivations to improve learning. In addition, I am also interested in neuroeducation which is combination of neuroscience and educational psychology. It is fascinating to learn about language processing in the brain and its relation to memory, retention and attention. My current research work examines grammatical chunking assisting language learners, autonomous learning through online media, and vocabulary through extrinsic peer interaction. In the future, I hope to expand my research into the business sector and examine work performance motivation for foreign blue-collar and pink-collar labor in Japan.
