教育研究内容
I started my career as a language learner, first Spanish, then Portuguese, finally Japanese. When I became a language teacher, Spanish and now English, I decided to focus my research on how to use my experiences learning languages to help me teach them. So I am investigating error recognition and correction as part of language learning. I am studying ways to help students read more effectively and enjoy pleasure reading. Furthermore I am studying how to encourage students to learn more effectively on their own, outside of class. I hope to include interesting and useful bits of my research in my classes to help my students become better learners and users of English.
