Teaching and Research Fields
My main research interests lie in the relatively new field of project-based learning and teaching (PBLT). PBLT combines the teaching of content in English with integrated skills, process writing and presentation in a comprehensive approach to language learning and teaching. Group work is an important aspect of PBLT, as students work together to complete increasingly more complex and challenging tasks as part of each project. I am particularly interested in the student interaction that takes place in groups, and also in how students code-switch between the L2 and their L1 to complete the tasks.
